An old African proverb states that it takes a village to raise a child. At Ephesus, we have embraced this concept by providing all of our elementary school age children the opportunity to receive a high-quality education at Ephesus Junior Academy tuition free.
How the Village Plan Works
Through a strategic partnership of parents and church family, the Village Plan transfers the burden of financial support from school tuition payments to systematic financial support of the Christian education fund by a variety of stakeholders. This collective cost-sharing spreads the expense of operating the school among a wide range of constituents who give to the church $1 or more per day in Village Plan sponsorship support.
The chart below provides details for a few sponsorship levels. Parents of EJA students are asked to contribute at Level 6 for each child enrolled in grades 1-8. Other members are encouraged to participate at the highest sponsorship level that is fiscally feasible.
